NHK | 2020
A television involves a rectangular screen that emits a bright light and sound. And instead of the viewers arbitrarily receiving information from it, they can use a remote control to choose what videos and channels to watch. The project was designed to observe how people are influenced in a room by those sorts of properties as the substance of television, along with its characteristics related to visual media, all while the viewers laugh at the surprises presented to them. A mini program has been created with various surprises that unfold while casually watching television, such as the television turning off, color bars suddenly starting to move across the screen, and the antenna reception growing worse. Program Summary "NHK Insiders" is a secret program that airs late at night on NHK at unknown dates and times, and it is not listed on television listings. Is something happening inside the television...? In the middle of the night while people are asleep, a mysterious world that appears only for a brief period of time comes from a television that suddenly starts acting strangely. How is the video on the television produced, and how is it being projected? There are mysterious inhabitants that work to deliver the daily broadcasts. Whether this is a dream or reality, take a peek at the unknown world on the other side of the television that unfolds late at night.
