Elvis is not Dead
Short Film|2000
The second original short film by WOW. At a shooting range, a young man disguised as Elvis Presley takes aim at his target figure. His blow, made with all his might, sparks an unexpected development... The film depicts the story as it quietly continues to evolve. The characters and the props were filmed individually, and the background was created entirely by the use of computer graphics. The dynamic sense of depth was regulated on the computer by strategically positioning these filmed images. For WOW, whose previous motion graphics had been predominantly dependent on the process of filming itself, this work became the catalyst in shift towards a form of production that placed more emphasis on the video composition. It was also the first time that pre-visualization was employed, as precise decisions such as the camera angles, had been made during the preparation phase of the production.
