WOW25 Logo Movie by Shingo Abe

Motion Graphics|2022

WOW25th Anniversary Project | Logo Design
We held an in-house competition to create a logo, to commemorate the WOW's 25th anniversary. The concept on which the design was chosen entailed a circle that represented a group of members each with their own individual personalities. The overlapping of such personalities joins together to create the infinite (∞) power of expression.

To further develop this logo, volunteers within the company created a logo movie. In this movie, each designer provided their own interpretation of the 25 year journey of WOW, either from a group or individual perspective, and presented their works.

WOW25th Anniversary Project

Concept
“Based on the belief that the true essence of WOW is ‘expectation’ and ‘change,’ on this occasion, we created a video based on the concept of ‘feeling’ and ‘foreseeing’ something that seems to be visible but cannot actually be seen. When designing this work, there was the idea of overlap between anticipation of ‘what can be done next?’ with WOW's constantly surprising approach to manufacturing. This is the ‘sense of expectation of WOW’ created by all of us over the course of 25 years. To do this it is necessary to not give in to the pull of inertia, and constantly change, staying ahead of the changes occurring in the world. This video includes this attitude of ‘change’ as something that exceeds the essential ‘expectations’ of WOW. The video concludes with a ‘reset screen.’” —Shingo Abe

Virtual Event Platform Concept Movie

NTT DOCOMO | 2021
From February 4th to February 7th, 2021, the online exhibition, "Docomo Open House 2021," was held. During the exhibition, you could experience Docomo's newest technology. WOW was in charge of the planning, direction, and production of the concept video of the "Virtual Event Platform," a virtual space that Docomo independently developed.

Direct contact with people has become difficult, and large numbers of people cannot gather. During such a time, we drew the events and experiences that occurred on the "Virtual Event Platform," which was the venue for this event. We thereby presented both interactions that were not particular about place and time and the new possibilities of communication and technology.

WHILL MaaS Vision

WHILL|2019
WOW handled production of the vision film for the next-generation WHILL business, which was announced at CES 2019.

Why does WHILL aim to achieve the MaaS (Mobility as a Service) concept, which synthesizes mobility with urban services? That’s because within this concept is the foundation of a new vision advocated by WHILL - “to energize people.” Until now WHILL has worked to energize and revitalize the lives of people with lower-body physical disabilities. From now, on, WHILL will build urban infrastructure that can energize the lives of all city dwellers, transcending able-bodied or disabled limitations. By connecting to urban functions (such as food, clothing, shelter, recreation, beauty, etc.), we can revitalize and enrich lives. This film is the beginning of an epic plan for accelerating the linking of these business concepts with working society and realizing this worldview into actual social implementation.
