Kouhei Nakama
Kouhei joined WOW in 2009 and has since gone on to create a global reputation as one of Japan’s top new visual directors. Having gained notoriety for his short films “Diffusion”, and “Cycle”, Kouhei is known for his abstract style taking inspiration from the human form and condition to tell his stories. He has worked with many top brands in Tokyo and internationally, as well as won several design awards. Kouhei is regularly featured on popular design blogs such as Vimeo Staff Picks, Colossal, Creators Project, and Motionographer.

LOVE TIGER COLLECTION 2019 WINTER

In charge of producing the 2019 WINTER concept video of “LOVE TIGER COLLECTION,” the concept fashion brand of Tiger Magic Bottle.
By making the 3D-scanned model animated, expressed the season’s theme, “GAME,” in a vivid manner. Through a collaboration with the SONY R&D team as a new challenge, we created a cut made with Volumetric technology. Also produced a 15-second version as a TV commercial which was aired.

J'adore
DIOR | 2019
WOW planned, directed and produced the Artist Film as a spin-off of the J'adore campaign. Maintaining the worldview of the main film directed by Romain Gavras, we abstractly reconstructed the decorations, moisture, light, and glimmer of the Hammam and vividly depicted the new rebirth of J'adore.

Lipovitan D Music Video
Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.｜2017
The Lipovitan D music video, first attempt by Taisho Pharmaceutical, was produced and performed by Kouhei Nakama. Collaborating with world famous artist banvox, this cool and artsy music video tries to create a completely new image for Lipovitan D. Not a person, but a product, Lipovitan D, is the main character. It changes shape, divides, and lights up, all to the rhythm of the background music, to create a “too cool” video in full CG.

Sports Program Opening Movie
NHK｜2016
We planned, produced and made the opening movie for an NHK sports program. The movie’s theme was “RUN”. The foundation for lots of sports and competitions is “running”. We used this to produce a charismatic and colorful movie which expresses the athletes’ nervousness, happiness and overwhelming joy.
We shot approximately 20 different sports in motion capture style in order to express the sports in their true light. The opening movie beautifully brought together the individual powers and charms of all the different sports.

LEXUS BY THE BEAUTY
LEXUS｜2014
This motion graphics production entitled LEXUS BY THE BEAUTY on display at INTERSECT BY LEXUS – TOKYO, is a collaborative art piece by photographer Fadil Berisha, flower artist Masaaki Kawaguchi, and WOW. “Red” – the color of the Lexus LFA, which was on display with this movie.
Vivid organic “Red” – in the motif of Kawaguchi’s flowers. Mysterious deep “Red” – reflected in Berisha’s photographs. WOW created this artistic production with a motif of different shades of “Red”.
